Our Journey in Community-Based Research: A Photoblog
Conducting our Community-Based Research (CBR) was both a challenging and rewarding experience. Together with my groupmates, we explored real-life community issues, engaged with local people, and gathered valuable insights. I actively participated in the focus study and helped in writing the conclusion, ensuring that our findings were clear and meaningful.
Our journey began with an intense brainstorming session. We listed possible topics, debated their relevance, and finally decided on one that would create a meaningful impact in our community.
Before heading into the field, we studied previous research, news articles, and reports related to our topic. This gave us a strong foundation for our study.
Since I was actively involved in the focus study, I helped in formulating questions that would guide our data collection. We made sure our questions were clear, unbiased, and relevant.
One of the most crucial parts of our research was the focus study where we interviewed individuals and gathered firsthand information. I facilitated the discussion, making sure that everyone had the chance to speak and share their insights.
After collecting data, we organized and analyzed it. We identified key themes, patterns, and important takeaways.
My role in writing the conclusion was to summarize our findings and highlight the significance of our study. I ensured that our conclusion clearly reflected the community’s concerns and offered recommendations for improvement.
As we neared the final stage, we prepared our report and presentation. We rehearsed multiple times to ensure clarity and confidence in delivering our research findings.
Finally, the day arrived to present our work. We confidently shared our findings, answered questions, and felt a deep sense of accomplishment.
Through this research experience, I learned the value of teamwork, patience, and critical thinking. Contributing to the focus study and writing the it allowed me to develop my analytical and communication skills. Most importantly, we realized the impact of research in understanding and addressing community issues. This journey was not just about fulfilling an academic requirement but about making a difference, one study at a time.
